Well as some may know I gave up my full time nursing job and I now childmind full time and stay at home with my own kids while Gary works full time. This is great and I am loving it, I've decided the one thing that really annoys me about it is, deciding what to have for tea every night!!! It's so boring, luckily for me I'm a rubbish cook so Gary cooks 1 or 2 nights a week as he likes it. I get bored half way through wander off to do something else, usually to do with the computer or crafting and next thing I know the dinner is burned!!! or even worse for everyone not quite burned (then I tell them they have to eat it)

I managed to finish a Layout for this weeks challenge on ukscrappers which was to

1, use only bazzil, no patterns

2, use buttons

3, a big title

4, have a border

5, use brown. I can check all these, I think, with the layout shown.

Race For Life

Charlotte and I got our Race for Life pack today and have set up our sponsership web page, very exciting.

We are really looking forward to it and being in June it should be a lovely day. It will be the first time we have done it but if all goes well we are hoping to make it an annual event together.

Again no crafting today, i must pull my finger out tomorrow and do something!! Waiting for some card I ordered so I can start on some wedding invites at the weekend. Also going to attempt a layout for this weeks challenge on ukscrappers, so that should be interesting, my first attempt at a weekly challenge. Charlotte had the dentist this morning and we were basically told to protect her adult teeth she should eat any sugary food at one time in the day and then nothing else, which when I've looked properly at the food labels, it's very hard to find stuff. Luckily they do like fruit and veg so that's good but even things like yoghurts that are marketed at kids have loads of sugar in!!! I perhaps should have been paying more attention before now!!!

Not much crafting today as childminding all day, last night I did finish a card for work to say thanks for my leaving pressies and will post it on here when I've sent it in case any of them peek here!!

Have got a couple of ATC's to work on so have done the backing's tonight but the rest will have to wait as I'm tired and ready for my bed.

My new layouts

These are a couple of 12 x 12 layouts I've done over the last couple of weeks, they are the first ones I've done and i'm quite pleased with them, the flowers are from a 'me and my big ideas' sheet. The journalling on the Charlotte layout says

'A trip to the park with George, Joshua and Katie. Even though you don't see each other very often for weeks on end, when you meet up you play like you only saw each other yesterday'

'Having fun on the roundabout & you being the 'bestest' big cousin pushing Katie on the swing endlessly!!!'

First Entry

Well this is the first entry of my blog and I have many questions are flowing through my head; What do you write in a blog?

Will anyone else want to read it?

I guess as I go along I'll find out.

The sun is out beautifully today, already it's really warm in the garden. I'm going to finish the kids disney maze books today this may mean taking all me crafting stash in the garden as it's so nice.
