Challenges

Ok I think incoporating the LO's is cheating but I'm only doing it for me so I guess it's fine.

This LO is the first one for my overlooked challenges, the coffee mug, or in my case tea mug.

it uses the sketch provided for the 52 sketches/52 weeks. I aim to catch up with this one this week to get up to week 4 and be on track.

Dedication

Finally getting back in the swing of scrapping, I thought I'd havea go at this weeks challenge on uks.

In 1924 the first Winter Olympic games opened in Chamonix, France.

So as a theme for your layout choose one of these aspects of Olympic games:

Courage or Strength,

Love or dedication (all athlete have a love and dedication to their particular sport),

Home or country = 10 pts

Use glitter on your photograph (can be any colour) to represent snow/ice = 5pts

To represent the downhill skiing or toboggan use a full length strip of paper or spiral (doesn't have to be white) = 10 pts

And because all the athletes are stars put at least one star on your LO = 5pts.Good luck and have fun!!!

I didn't use glitter on my photo as I obviously wasn't paying proper attention when i read the brief!! but the rest is there.

Dolls house Layout

This is a Lo I've wanted to do since Charlotte got her dolls house for Christmas, she got a few more bits for it at the big dolls house show we went to on Saturday so now has very cute crockery, mugs saucepans and teeny tiny cakes. She lets her littlest pet shop animals and bratz babies live in there a the moment.

Do you think it needs a title or is it self explanatory? I can't decide what the title should be so I've left it for a bit

Here are some pictures of the dolls house, it's so cute!!!

My Computer

is driving me nuts, it keeps shutting down, I'm changing to a wireless connection soon which apparently should help and they reduced the proce of my AOL package so I was pleased!! Nice to have something reduced for once.

The cat has taken a shine to my new shelves and I've had to leave a little space for him to sleep on one of the shelves otherwise he knocks eveything off.

I've not done much scrapping this week but I have altered a couple of notebooks as I've started my Diploma in HomeBased Childcare, (one evening a week) so I wanted my note books to look a bit nicer than a plain pad.

I've also been taking part in

It made my tigger mug feel very important having it's picture taken!!!

and

I've been good and kept a little journal everyday, I'm going to do my LO for the first week this afternoon, I'll try and pop it on later.

and

Great Free Shelves

I saw some shelves yesterday and they said please take on the side of them, I couldn't manage them myself yesterday as Gary wasn't here so didn't think much else of it, until this morning when I walked the dog and they were still there so once we'd put the rook bars on the car we shot off to pick them up and now I have a very nice new set of shelves for my craft stuff!!! I'm very excited and they fit very nicely in the corner. Here is a picture of them before I put them in place.
I'll take another once I get everything on them nice.

One of the girls on the cardmaking and papercraft forum set a monthly challenge to make a notice board or clipboard so I revamped my exisitng boring chipboard pin board to make it look more attractive.

Book Of Everything

I'm taking part in the challenge on the creative world blog to use the prompts given every 2 weeks to make an art journal. I'm not entirely sure what an art journal is and am hoping that it can be whatever you want it to be!!!!

I've made the front cover of my journal and am all ready for the first prompt on Saturday.

Happy New Year

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2008. Decorations came down today and once I'd tidied the front room of toys it actually looked quite clear and uncluttered!!! It won't last!!
