Kids Photo Saturday

The kids were willing posers today, next Saturday I must take one outside otherwise I just keep showing pis of my half decorated house, we may be finished by the time the kids leave home!!!

Charlotte has been out all day at her friends and they also went into town together (such big girls now) and George and I had a good day building K-nex models, a bridge and some vehicles. K-nex is such cool stuff, we also played Lego Starwars on the Wii, I'm rubbish at it but George doesn't seem to mind too much and only shouts at me from time to time!!!

Homework

This is a regular site on our kitchen table although usually at the weekend but last Friday Charlotte forgot to bring her homework home so she had to do it over last night and tonight.

Very difficult maths!!! to begin with but we did it together and once we got in the swing of it she knows how to do it, hooray. I was never the best at maths but 'Mr Thomas' (my old maths teacher) would have been proud of me tonight!! I thought it deserved a photo. I appreciate Year 6 sats aren't going to be the hardest problems we face but it's a start.

Self Potrait Sunday (already)

The week seems to go by so quickly. Today I took a photo using the timer which is challenging when there is a dog involved!! I'm not sure why Joey looks bald on his chest he's not really!! It was his 5th birthday today so it was good to include him in the photo with me in my regular attire for walking him in the rain.

Handbags and Gladrags

Charlotte and I went shopping today and she bought a lovely Roxy handbag with her Christmas money.

We plaited her hair into crazy plaits and she looked cute, or so I thought!! she thought she looked funny!! she is going to keep it in overnight and see how crinkly it is tomorrow. We also went swimming today and bought leisure passes so that I am encouraged to take them swimming more often so that Georgie can practice as he has swimming lessons at the mo.

George then decided for his poses he had to look cool!!! but I'm not sure he achieved that! He's eating a cola bottle although you probably didn't want to know that

Next week I might remember to take photos of them in the daytime!!

We also poppped to 'the glitter pot' for some DST and saw the cutest paper 'Smirk', by Kyla May.

Cosy & Warm

Even though the childminding babies and I weren't cosy and warm today as it was so chilly. The little people were very cosy in a new boot bed!!!!!

Rain

Rain has been a predominant feature of today as everytime I've gone anywhere I've got wet!! I've worn 3 different coats and they are still not dry so it seemed only right I should take a picture of something to do with the rain. These raindrops were on my back door.

Gardening Pancakes and Playdough, not necessarily in that order!!

Tonight I have finished my gardening notebook, it is simple but it is a thick notebook that I can write in and put articles from magazines/newspapers & internet in.

We made pancakes tonight, we love them and eat them with all the wrong things, chocolate spread, lemon juice, sugar (not all together!!) but not very often.

Charlotte took this action shot, I love to flip pancakes and usually manage not to chuck them on the floor. I really look like I'm concentrating, don't I.

We also made playdough for the first time I felt I should as it's quite expensive to buy and only ends up getting hard and yucky. It was really easy to make I just goggled making playdough and chose a 1 min one which didn't involve heating it up on the stove so that it was easy for the little ones to help with. It is really good and we were very pleased with it and made some lovely aliens.

Finally Some LO's

I did these 2 LO's yesterday. The first is the kids getting their first pair of proper shoes and the second is George's lovely haircut. Please excuse the terrible photos my HP express wouldn't show them for me to crop, silly thing!!!

Tonight I have been covering a little book I am going to use for my vegetable garden plannung, I started growin my own veg last year and got a good if small crop of carrots, beans & peas, radish and lettuce so I;m hoping to be a bit more methodicl and have something growing for most of the year from the spring.

I love my car, I'm the only driver in the house, so the lifts, etc. are down to me. I love to drive and will drive anywhere, I drove to London to work 4 days a week when we first moved which mostly I enjoyed. I like the long drive to Devon to see my family, either on the motorway or down the A303 depending on the time of day( A303 day, Motorway, night) and the kids are really good when we go and have landmarks so they know roughly how much longer, without asking too often!!



It seemed apt todays photo was with my lovely blue 1.2 Fiat Punto.

Saturday Kid Pictures!!

I think they are fed up with the Saturday pics already, but it doesn't help that I forgot till the last minute.

George just loves Watermelon, he would eat it all day if he could. I appreciate that using the flash inside so that you could see Charlotte's eyes would have been much better, but I was lucky to get one at all so beggars can't be choosers!!

Friday 16th January

A picture of my lovely new shoes, well got them at Christmas, I love them. My mum has a matching pair, but we don't see each other often enough to look like twins!!!

New Phone

My old phone was dying a slow death, saying the battery was dead when it had a call, not ringing out loud just vibrating, etc. So after 6 months of putting it off I got a new phone today, half price in the sale so I was pleased. I couldn't get a decent pic of it as I left it too late & it was dark so I will photograph it again tomorrow.

14th January 2009

Exercising with Mr Motivator, I used to love doing his exercises when I was younger so was very pleased to see him back on tv. It's become a mornng routine of doing our exercises before we leave for school.

Self Portrait Sunday

This is my cleaning look!!! I don't know why but it feels better to keep my hair out the way. I've given my floors a good mop today, I can't wait until we get new tiles in the bathroom and kitchen though as the old ones never really look properly clean, I want shiny ones!!! I've also been to the dump with some rubbish from the garden and a few broken things, so I feel happy that I can scrap tonight.

I have so many lines on my face that I can see in photos but not when I look in the mirror. I don't ever wear any make up so I guess I'm just going to look older and older. I suppose I'll get used to the older me, in my head I still look young!!!

Frost & Cooking

So winter is really set in here as the frost didn't leave the trees and bushes all day today, it was

really pretty. At least the fog lifted so we could appreciate the prettiness, when George and I walked the dog we had frost on the ends of our hair and the dog had frosty whiskers!!! I also took pictures of the spider webs today.


As it was too cold to go out far I did some cooking, I'm not a cook, I can't bear to cook in fact. Normally I find it tedious get bored half way through, do something else while I'm waiting and then it burns!!! I had an urge today to make soup, strange as that may seem, it must be the cold weather. So I made vegetable soup and it was delicious, even the kids thought so. I used a recipe from the Sainsburys site but had bought the ingredients from Tesco as Gary works there. Then as if that culinary masterpiece wasn't enough I also made Sausages and Roasted Vegetables for tea, which the kids weren't so keen on but I guess you can't win everytime!! No photos of the cooking I was too excited that it looked edible and wasn't burnt, I'm going to make some more soup tomorrow to freeze for the week!!! This soesn't sound like me at all.

I've decided to take pictures of the kids on a Saturday regularly, obviously on other days as well but at least on a Saturday so that some get taken weekly throughout the year. Today they were on the computer a lot of the day so it seems appropriate that todays photo is this one. They were playing Club Penguin and doing some missions, they managed well together most of the time with only the odd fight!!!

Chilly Friday

We have been chilly today, but we also managed to appreciate some things about the cold weather on our way to school this morning. The frost had made the spider webs look so pretty but must have made the spiders have very chilly feet!!! Did I have my camera to take a pic, no but I will bear it in mind tomorrow and try and get some snaps if we have frost which it looks as if we will because tonight it is very cold and foggy.

Fried Eggs

These are one of my fav foods, Gary even said I make them better than him today, which has to be a first as I'm a rubbish cook and he likes to cook and rustles up some delicious dinners. I've decided to take photos of the kids on the weekends as it's a bit pressured on weekdays with everyone here and them being at school all day.

Cookies & College

The Childminding babies and I have been making cookies today, everyone thought they were yummy and the big ones were very excited by fresh cookies when they came in from school. Heart, Stars, Circles and some very odd shapes!! I also started back at College after the Christmas break. I'm doing a Diploma in Homebased Childcare, I'm just more than half way and will be finished by the summer.

It doesn't want to upload my photos today I'll try again tomorrow.

All wrapped up

I was all wrapped up ready to go to do the school run when I suddenly decided to get Charlotte to take my phot, so after rushing about finding the camera I was boiling hot!!! Must do that every morning before I go outside!!

This is a LO I did for scrap like you mean it, which is a challenge Shimelle is running on UKS. I'm the one on the left as you look at it!!! Such a cute haircut!!

Lovely to look at but a bit chilly!!

SNOW, we woke up to a covering of snow today, the kids had to go back to school so we alked to school in the snow making prints and snow angels, brrr.

I only had one minding baby while the others were at pre school so we made the worlds smallest snowman!! (can you see it) but Brooke who was 2 today as well was very happy with it as you can see from her face.

Cats sleep anywhere

I was going to finish off the college essay that I got halfway through this morning, but.....

well as you can see, what's a girl to do wouldn't want to disturb him!!.

Can you tell Ijust shoved everything up and didn't tidy, whoops, photographic evidence of my messy weekend/holiday craft space. Must put it all away tonight.

Hair cut

George loves his hair, he always has wanted long hair ever since he could express an opinion (quite young!!) I did get it cut once when he first started pre school and it looked cute but he hated it even at that young age so we let him grow it again and just had it trimmed. Today we compromised and he had it cut out of his eyes and the length shortened at the back, it looks so cute!!!

Icy

I love this, went out to the garden today as it was really sunny to have a survey of what needs tidying. I promised the childminding babies that I would sort out the garden by fencing off the uneven part so that they could get to the play house and have some outside time at home. We haven't been using the garden the last few months, just going out to the park alot and they have missed the play house. Anyway to cut a long story short, I'll be busy tomorrow!!!! The picnic set was out and had iced over so when i lifted a cup out the whole lot was stuck in the ice, my 2 thought it was 'well cool'!!!

This second photo is a LO I did using the sketch from http://cleocrafts.blogspot.com/ I wanted to keep it really clean and simple to emphasise the freedom and clean start I felt when getting rid of all the old paperwork that was cluttering up my drawers all around the house. It was a great feeling watching it all burn away.

2nd day

I have been taking these berocca for the last couple of weeks, I love the slogan from the advert

and decided that's how I wanted to feel so I've been taking them to see if I feel any bouncier not that I was particularly unbouncy but you know how it is with work, kids, life, etc. I'll see how I feel next week when I'm back in the swing of minding, school runs, etc. I decided to hail them in todays photo.

It has been a lovely day here today quite sunny so we went out to 2 parks, the kids had so much fun on the curly slide!! and bumped into a friend in the first park so a good time was had by all. They should sleep well all that fresh air.

2009

These are some of the pages from a paperbag album that I received from my friend, she sent me the album and some lovely bits to go with it for my birthday, I will add some more journalling and some ribbon for the edges over the weekend. It was great to collate all the Christmas photos together as I've not done a christmas alum before.

I took the photos and then realised I was wearing the funny headband that the kids laugh at me in!! Never mind the camera batteries on charge so I'm not taking new photos, the colours were really odd as well so I changed it to sepia and it looks better.
