Self Portrait Sunday

This is my cleaning look!!! I don't know why but it feels better to keep my hair out the way. I've given my floors a good mop today, I can't wait until we get new tiles in the bathroom and kitchen though as the old ones never really look properly clean, I want shiny ones!!! I've also been to the dump with some rubbish from the garden and a few broken things, so I feel happy that I can scrap tonight.

I have so many lines on my face that I can see in photos but not when I look in the mirror. I don't ever wear any make up so I guess I'm just going to look older and older. I suppose I'll get used to the older me, in my head I still look young!!!

love the head gear is it a hat or like a band? It is funky!

It's like a headband, it's a big loop of material and you twist it and put it over your head then pull it up over your head. I love it but the kids laugh at me!!! I got it on a stall in Brighton somewhere.

Ooh, I know what you mean about the lines (mine - not yours!) - they are never there first thing in the morning when I look in the mirror, but somehow they reappear when I have a photo taken!!

I'm only 18 (in my head!)

“If lines must be written on our brows, let them not be written upon the heart. The spirit should never grow old.” (James Garfield)

I don't like people with very smooth faces, it makes me think they are empty - I always like the look of people as they are maturing, more than the ones of when they were younger because you can see their character coming through.

This made me laugh - when I was little and my mum told me to tidy my room I always spent half an hour perfecting my "look". It always included somekind of floaty scarf in my hair and a pinny (!). By the time I was ready to start my twin sister had already done her room and was back downstairs!! This reminded me of that.
